# Customize the Details View

The Details View can be tailored to your needs. Want to hide or reorder some fields? Read on!

### Display/hide and reorder fields

To adapt which fields you want to **display/hide** in the Details View of your records, make sure you have turned on the [Layout Editor mode](https://docs.forestadmin.com/user-guide/getting-started/master-your-ui/using-the-layout-editor-mode) **(1)** and click on the icon close to the record details header **(2)**:

You can also **reorder** them within the dropdown which appears when you click on the same button.
